Film Industry "Flies" Into Tallahassee
Legislators, business leaders and other travelers arriving in the Tallahassee Regional Airport are being introduced to some of the many films that have been shot in Florida, thanks to a new display in the terminal. An idea generated by the EDC’s Jennifer Pennypacker after seeing a similar display in another state, the kiosk has garnered a consistent stream of onlookers who often try to find their hometown in a list that shows productions shot in each city. Metro Orlando has its fair share of entries on that list, including movies such as Monster, Waterboy, Rosewood, Lilo & Stitch, Brother Bear, Instinct, Curious George and Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector! This is another great way for us to showcase the tremendous work being done in Florida’s entertainment production industry. So, if you fly to Tallahassee, take a few minutes to check it out.
