As Director of Business Development, Rodney
Hughes is responsible for trade marketing, project management
and relationship management with clients who are considering
relocating to or expanding in Metro Orlando.
Mr.
Hughes has over 10 years of experience in Economic Development.
Prior to joining the EDC, he served the governor
of Tennessee as assistant commissioner of the state’s
Department of Economic and Community Development. There
he played a prominent role in the state’s most important
economic development initiatives. His focus was on the
growth and retention of existing industries within the
state, the minority business development and technology
development programs.
Mr. Hughes is also the founder of Spectrum Graphics/Ntegrate
Media, a full-service digital media and design company,
which he owned and operated for over ten years. He was
also the territory business manager and opened the Orlando
regional office for the Buxton Company, an industry leader
in customer analytics and site selection technology.
Mr.
Hughes serves on the Board of Advisors for Best Buddies
of Orlando.
