As Director of Business Intelligence, Michael Latham is charged with creating and managing the EDC’s inventory of market research, organizing and collateralizing data for marketing and business development, benchmarking and maintaining the EDC’s integrated information management system. He is additionally responsible for intelligence-gathering activities that support the EDC’s proactive business development mission.

Mr. Latham served as Associate Director of Business Intelligence prior to assuming his current responsibilities, and also provided market research and business intelligence for the EDC under contract. While pursing his MBA, Mr. Latham worked with the EDC and Orange County’s office of Economic Development, Trade and Tourism. He was formerly a principal at High Mark Securities, Inc. in Lakeland, Florida where he played an instrumental role in building the firm from its entrepreneurial start. He served as the firm’s Compliance Officer, Operations Manager and HR Director. He has also held a variety of management positions in various industries ranging from hospitality to legal services.

Community involvement is a key part of Mr. Latham’s day-to-day activities, and he has served in a variety of positions at non-profit and religious organizations.
