Australia
  • Adacel Systems develops software for training air traffic controllers. The company's Central Florida expansion created 49 new jobs.
  • Cadsteel Pro designs and builds steel frames for commercial, residential, and industrial construction.
  • BTEQ, a 40-acre fish farm, harvests and is a wholesaler. Over 100 employed in Metro Orlando.
 
 
Canada
  • The EDC has an active program for promoting the region to Canada, specifically in the fields of Simulation/Training, Aviation and Digital Media.
  • Montreal is a market with many similarities - Aviation, Photonics and Digital Media
  • Atlantis Systems is a recent expansion in the region. A simulation company, they will add 120 employees to their Central Florida operations.
  • The EDC participates in sales missions to Canada twice a year and receives inbound delegations twice a year.
 
 
France
  • Hubbard Construction Company, the region's largest French employer with 1,200 employees, is a heavy civil construction company. Cherry Lake Tree Farms, another French company based in Lake County, Florida, grows trees for construction and landscaping throughout the U.S.
  • Alliance Francaise of Greater Orlando is an organization supporting the French-speaking community by promoting the French language and culture. They also offer a French School.
 
 
Germany
  • Siemens is the largest German company in the region with 2,700 employees.
  • Active German American Chamber of Commerce
  • Recent expansions include: Fath, Inc., a manufacturer of hinges and fittings for aluminum profile systems; and Desko, a manufacturer of security hardware and software.
  • The EDC participates in tradeshows and sales missions to Germany.
 
 
Israel
  • The EDC hosts delegations of Israeli companies interested in local technology, particularly the defense industry.
  • Simigon, an Israeli company that produces training software for military pilots, recently established an operation in Metro Orlando.
 
 
Japan
  • Japanese interests own several large resorts, tour operations, and restaurants in the region.
  • Mitsubishi Power Generation has two locations in Central Florida. One is the company's Western Hemisphere headquarters for sales and service of gas, steam and wind turbine power generation systems. The other is a manufacturing plant for the building, repairing and servicing of gas- and steam-powered turbines and components for power generation.
  • Ginken Corporation's Orlando-based facility developed the world's first reaction-based hydraulic press-in and extraction machine, the "Silent Piler," which eliminates vibration and reduces noise at construction sites.
 
 
Mexico
  • The EDC has regularly planned trade missions to Mexico City and Monterrey.
  • Mexican Consulate is located here.
  • Direct flights from Orlando to Mexico are available.
  • Inter Bio-Lab, Inc., specializing in lab equipment, is owned and operated by a successful Mexican woman.
 
 
Netherlands
  • Honorary Consul Office
  • A Dutch company is a major shareholder in a 3,500-acre, planned, multi-use, office/residential park.
  • Scala, a software development company, is the largest Dutch company in the region.
  • The region has multiple Dutch-owned commercial development companies.
 
 
Spain
  • The EDC has regularly planned trade and investment mission to Spain.
  • Spain's Indra Sistemas expanded their simulation and training division a few years ago to the United States with the opening of their operation in Metro Orlando. Now operating as an American company, Indra Systems has grown to 120 employees with an average salary of $80,000.
  • Another expansion from Indra, Indra Sistemas S.A., has been selected by Metro Link St. Louis to provide the fare collection system on the Cross County Metro Link Extension and the replacement of the existing ticket vending machines. This is a $5.5 million project. Production of these machines will be in Orlando.
  • Alvaco Networks, Inc. is a telecommunications, service provider and equipment wholesaler.
 
 
United Kingdom
  • A target country for Metro Orlando marketing - similar technologies, same language and culture. Number one international market in terms of tourism visitors to Orlando.
  • Represents the second largest number of foreign-owned properties in the area, topped only by Latin America.
  • British-owned Emerson International, in partnership with Brentwood Custom Homes, have developed Eagle Creek Golf Community. This is in addition to eight other British-owned residential communities.
  • British companies who call Orlando home produce everything from agricultural products to high tech products.
  • The U.K. remains Orlando's top overseas country of origin services for many types of industries.
