Orlando, Fla.– The Orlando Economic Development Commission (EDC) received the top honor at this year’s Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida’s Sixth Annual Golden Dragon Awards Gala. The event was held Oct. 3 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The Gold Dragon Award is the Asian American Chamber of Commerce’s highest honor and given to individuals, entrepreneurs, small or large businesses that have made the most significant positive impact in Central Florida, improving the quality of life for many.
Orlando EDC board chair David Fuller, President of SunTrust Foundation, accepted the award on the EDC’s behalf.
“This award means a great deal to the Orlando EDC, its investors, board members and staff,” said Fuller. “It is a testament to the hard work that goes on every day to improve our community by attracting, retaining and growing jobs in our region and creating opportunities for positive growth and prosperity.”
The Asian American Chamber of Commerce provides leadership, support and encouragement to the Asian American business community of Greater Orlando.
