Enterprise Zone Jobs
Tax Credit |
Businesses located in an enterprise zone who pay corporate
income taxes a tax credit for wages paid to new employees who have
been employed by the business for at least three months and are residents
of a Orange County enterprise zone area. |

Enterprise
Zone Property Tax Credit |
Businesses located in an enterprise zone are allowed
a credit on Florida corporate income tax equal to 96% of ad valorem
taxes paid on the new or improved property. |

Community
Contribution Tax Credit Program |
Allows businesses anywhere in Florida a 50% credit
on Florida corporate income tax or insurance premium tax for donations
to local community development projects. |

Credit
Against Sales Tax for Job Creation in an Enterprise Zone |
Businesses
located in a Florida enterprise zone, who collect or pay Florida
sales and use tax, a monthly credit against
their tax due on wages paid to new employees who have been employed
by the business for at least three months and are residents of an
Orange County enterprise zone area. |

Sales Tax Refund for Building Materials
Used in an Enterprise Zone |
Refund
is available for sales taxes paid on the purchase of certain business
property (e.g. tangible personal property such
as office equipment, warehouse equipment, and some industrial equipment
and machinery), which is used EXCLUSIVELY in an enterprise zone for
at least three years. |

Sales Tax Refund for Business Machinery
and Equipment Used in an Enterprise Zone |
Refund is available for sales taxes paid on the purchase
of building materials used to construct or rehabilitate real property
located in an enterprise zone. |

Target Industry Tax Refund Program (QTI) Local Match |
Orange County contributes a local match to make up
the total QTI award. |

|
Job Creation Incentive Program |
Incentives to qualifying companies to offset the costs
related to relocation and/or expansion. The City may award grants
for qualifying companies from its Job Creation Incentive Fund. |

Infrastructure and Site Improvements |
Customized incentives are available for infrastructure
and site improvements. The City may reimburse the client for a negotiated
portion of any public right-of-way improvements made in support of
the development of the site. |

Orlando's Enterprize Zone Program |
Any
business located in an Enterprise Zone can receive tax credits
on the state sales and use tax, corporate income tax
and property tax. In addition, if more than 20 percent of a company's
full-time permanent employees live in the zone, the company earns higher
credits and exemptions. |

Urban Job Tax Credit Program |
Tax
Credit taken against either the Florida Corporate Income Tax or
the Florida Sales and Use Tax. The business must be located within
and expanding employment or relocating to the City of Orlando's
designated urban area. |

Downtown Enhancement Economic District |
DEED
is a State of Florida program that provides economic development
tools and resources to property owners and businesses
located or considering locating in a DEED area. |

Business Assistance Program |
Program designed to encourage location and/or expansion
of small businesses in the City by assisting with small-scale infrastructure
projects and offsetting development fees. |

Arts and Culture Assistance Program |
Program designed to encourage arts and culture-related
businesses and organizations to locate, expand, or redevelop in the
Traditional City of Orlando. |

Business District Program |
Program
provides matching funds to new and expanding businesses in the
City to assist in off-setting development fees,
including sewer and transportation impact fees, building permit fees,
and all elements of public right-of-way infrastructure within the City’s
jurisdiction that may require new installation, repair, replacement,
or relocation. |

Film and Television |
This program cuts the production costs within the
Orlando market by 15%, allowing us to be competitive. In addition,
this Program is intended to compliment current private industry incentives
being offered by Orlando businesses. |

Funds for expenses such as impact and permit fees,

Impact Fee Deferral Program |
Allows
a company to defer payment of impact fees from the date of issuance
of building permit to the time of issuance of a certificate of
occupancy. This deferral program may be used for new construction
of industrial or manufacturing facilities or expansion of existing
industrial or manufacturing facilities. |

Fast Track Permitting |
This program expedites the planning and review method
for site plan and building permits. It saves companies time and money
in getting projects off the ground. |
