How can you help?

EDC investors often ask how they can help accomplish our region’s economic development goals. Here’s the answer:

A focused effort to help local companies grow and expand is paramount to maintaining the health and prosperity of the region’s economy. Towards this end, the EDC has developed the Industry Outreach Program.

This volunteer-driven initiative is designed to complement our existing business development efforts; participants have a direct and significant impact on helping local companies—as well as their own companies—grow.

Industry Outreach Program volunteers serve as "ambassadors”. They meet with other corporate executives and company owners throughout the region to gather information about expansion plans and perspectives on our business community. This peer-to-peer input, which is reported back to the EDC, is uniquely valuable in identifying growth plans
of local businesses and in gathering feedback about concerns that could jeopardize that company’s presence in Metro Orlando.

Our ultimate goal is to connect with existing local companies on an ongoing and proactive basis. With the assistance of our dedicated team of volunteers, we are accomplishing this goal.
