EDC Events

Building community... a priority of the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission. In addition to leading the community's business development program, this organization sponsors a series of popular annual events, which bring together supporters of economic development from throughout the region.

EDC networking events include the Annual Barbeque, the annual Award Dinner presenting the James B. Greene Award, and the William C. Schwartz Industry Innovation Awards. In an effort to benchmark best practices, a group of the EDC's highest-level investors travel to communities throughout the world during our Annual Leadership Mission. A bi-monthly investor orientation is held in the offices of the EDC and quarterly update receptions are held in each county of the region. In addition, EDC advisory boards meet throughout the year to provide input into the development and implementation of our strategic marketing plan.
