About the EDC
The Orlando Economic Development Commission (EDC) is a not-for-profit, public-private partnership on a mission to aggressively attract, retain and grow jobs for the Orlando region while advocating, championing, and educating in support of efforts to improve its national and global competitive position. The EDC serves Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola counties and the City of Orlando — a region of about 4,000 square miles and 2.3 million people.

The EDC provides key services and support to companies at no cost — ranging from location and expansion expertise to long-term planning with community stakeholders.
With the support of our regional partners, the Orlando EDC has successfully assisted thousands of companies locate and expand in the Orlando/Central Florida region since its start in 1977.
The EDC is proud to be recognized as an Accredited Economic Development Organization by the International Economic Development Council, an achievement only the top 1 percent of all economic development organizations achieve.
